PRACTICE EXPERIENCE:
Reagan De Guzman has extensive exposure and experience in the field of property and project development. As counsel in the project development phase of several infrastructure projects ranging from condominiums and subdivisions to power plants, transmission line and pipeline construction, he has provided the legal framework and guidelines to be observed in land and rights of way acquisitions, community relations and obtaining the necessary endorsement and clearances from the affected communities and local government units. This experience has also led to Mr. De Guzman's significant involvement in the handling of numerous land registration and expropriation cases and in making representations to concerned government agencies for the procurement of the necessary permits, under time-constrained milestones. |
Mr. De Guzman has also participated in the international financing of major projects by undertaking comprehensive legal and corporate due diligence and compliance monitoring work from project development stage to project financing.
Mr. De Guzman represents clients in almost all areas of litigation practice, particularly, in civil, criminal and administrative cases. He has handled high-profile cases involving difficult and complex legal issues before the trial and appellate courts.
Mr. de Guzman is currently advising a major water concessionaire in regard to the implementation of its corporate rehabilitation, including various aspects relating to the operation of such concessionaire, such as raw water supply, and is leading the firm's representation of such concessionaire in respect of all matters and proceedings before the rehabilitation court. He is also engaged in the review of international contracts covering the operation of a mobile virtual network operation.
